SP (Short Print)

A card printed in smaller quantities than the standard base cards in a set. Short prints are harder to pull from packs and carry a premium on the secondary market. In many products, short prints include rookies, legends, or variation photos. They sit between base cards and SSPs on the rarity scale. Identifying SPs often requires checking print run data or comparing code numbers on the card back.
