2026 Topps Chrome Marvel Comics is back with a mix of modern Marvel storytelling, premium Chrome technology and artist-made content. With a wide range of comic-inspired designs, original artwork and rare chase cards, this release celebrates the world of Marvel Comics — not the movies, but the page: the panels, the creators and the characters that built the universe.
The base set and the Clawed Chrome variation
At the core is a 200-card base set packed with iconic heroes, villains and fan-favourite characters drawn from the deep history of Marvel Comics. On the standard Chrome stock, every card carries the refractor finish the brand is known for.
The headline twist on the base is the Clawed Chrome base variation: a bold new look that slashes Wolverine's signature claw marks across the full base set. It's a short-print-style chase layered over the entire 200 cards, so chasing the "clawed" version of your favourite character becomes its own mini-collection.
Inserts to chase
The insert lineup leans hard into Marvel storytelling and original art:
- Meanwhile… and One World Under Doom — themed inserts pulled from current Marvel storylines and events.
- Fanfare — premium comic-book art from some of Marvel's most celebrated modern artists.
- Astonishing — Marvel characters rendered in stunning Alex Ross artwork, enhanced with gold accents and a premium Chrome finish.
- Varied Visage: Age of Apocalypse by Bella Rachlin — a stylised take on the X-Men's dystopian classic.
- Topps Originals — original works from acclaimed artists including Lucio Parrillo.
- Reflections — a returning fan-favourite insert line.
The chase: autographs & sketch cards
This is where the value concentrates. 2026 Topps Chrome Marvel Comics puts comic creators, not athletes, at the centre of the signature checklist:
- Artist Autographs — signatures from classic Marvel artists including Stanley "Artgerm" Lau, Adi Granov, Kevin Eastman, Frank Miller and more.
- Artist Originals — hand-drawn sketch cards from legendary talents Adi Granov and Kevin Eastman: one-of-a-kind original art.
- Facsimile Autographs — a new lineup of characters with printed signatures, in single, dual, triple and quad versions.
- The One and Only: Stan Lee and Steve Ditko — one-of-one cut signatures of the creators behind so much of the Marvel universe. The ultimate chase of the set.
- Comic Excerpts: Spider-Man — clippings of classic comic panels embedded into the cards.
- Cordially Invited — cameo appearances in Marvel comics paired with autographs from well-known names like Aaron Judge, Steve Aoki, Seth Meyers and more.
Between hand-drawn sketch cards, one-of-one cut signatures of Lee and Ditko, and on-card creator autographs, the top of this checklist is genuinely scarce — exactly the kind of card where condition and grading move the price the most.
