We selected them for their relevance to football and motorsport collectors, distinctive formats and published product information. “Important” here means worth researching for a collection; it is not a ranking of sales volume or expected returns. There is no need to buy all three, or to buy a box at all.

1. Topps Chrome Formula 1 2026: build around a driver

Topps' official preview confirms October 15. It describes a 200-subject base set and introduces Full Grid refractors numbered to 22. The standard release is separate from the earlier pre-order and First Day Issue programme.

Our reason to prioritise it is the ability to define a focused project before buying: one driver, one team or one insert design. For a Fernando Alonso collection, for example, start by locating his entries in the published checklist. Decide whether your goal is the base card, a numbered parallel or a signature. Those are different shopping lists, even when a seller puts them under the same product name.

A low serial number alone does not tell you whether a card belongs in that project. Compare photographs, card numbers and the exact parallel name. If you want one specific card, follow its individual listings alongside sealed boxes. Read the odds for the particular format; an autograph shown in a preview is not a promise that every box contains one.

2. Panini National Treasures: a date correction worth noticing

We have moved our previous September estimate to November 4, expected, following Checklist Insider and Trading Card Database. Panini's catalogue still labels the product as coming soon. This remains a provisional date.

The GTS specification describes one ten-card pack per box, including eight autograph or memorabilia cards. It covers more than 30 national teams with a 150-card base checklist. Eight combined hits must not be read as eight autographs.

National Treasures makes this shortlist for collectors who already know the player or national team they want. Before considering a premium box, write down the exact autograph or memorabilia card you would be happy to own. Compare that target with what the box could also contain. A broad checklist can be exciting to open and still be a poor match for a narrowly defined collection.

Keep the full “Road to FIFA World Cup” title in saved searches. It identifies the product, not the date on which your order will arrive. Ask the seller to confirm the edition, format and dispatch terms if an older September date remains on its listing.

3. Futera Edition 22: read the back of the card

The official product page announces September 26, while its shipping section also mentions October 4. We retain that conflict in the calendar and recommend confirming dispatch rather than treating either date as a delivery guarantee.

GTS' preview lists four packs per display box and a mixed premium-card allocation. It also describes autograph backs with signing details and memorabilia backs with information about the material. Game and training memorabilia are both represented.

That documentation is why we include Futera. For a collector choosing a single signature or relic, the back can be as useful as the front. Request clear photographs of both sides, check the wording and choose the kind of collectible you actually want. Do not assume a training swatch and a match-used item tell the same story.

Keep Edition 22 separate from the club-specific Unique collections when comparing boxes or singles. Similar branding does not make their checklists interchangeable.

What changed elsewhere, including DAKA?

DAKA's official catalogue shows Juventus Top Audience and Real Madrid Final Whistle. Fanter dates them to August 30 and September 4 respectively. We added those as recent historical entries with the source limitation visible; we have not verified a new future DAKA date.

The wider release calendar also includes newly checked Topps pre-orders and Panini dates extending into November. “Pre-order” means orders open, while “Expected” means the date comes from a provisional schedule. The source link beside each new entry lets you check again before making plans.

Turn the shortlist into a collecting plan

  1. Choose a player, team or insert before choosing a box.
  2. Save the exact product name and format, plus the date you checked.
  3. Compare the delivered price with the singles you actually want.
  4. Revisit the source before release and record what you buy in your collection.
